I agree. The main problem with the song is that it has a weak chorus. With a great chorus, the song would probably be smashing hard right now. It seems frontloaded atm. I also don't think people are taking her urban image seriously, partly because WCS isn't urban at all, despite people repeating that it is. It may be produced by a popular urban producer but his production in this particular case is VERY pop.

I don't think other popstars will be running to him after this. Although he did give Rihanna a nice jam, PIU. But Rihanna has a great ear for music and is great at choruses/being catchy.

I forgot Thrift Shop happened this year! Not as in, Thrift Shop is a forgettable song but for some reason I keep thinking of it, Somebody That I Used to Know, Call Me Maybe and We Are Young all slaying last year. Probably cause I heard it last year, dunno.
