Although that means 272 is the bare minimum we could expect when 300 used to feel like our launchpad, so despite slim Presidential victories if we keep those states, it is a MASSIVE decline in electoral votes which does not look cute at all for the DNC.

I saw the Maddow interview with the campaign manager and she told her that they overspent on PA so with a bigger rust belt strategy they would have won WI and MI at most. It would still fall short :/
I think it's a Hillary vs Trump issue. 2020 will be different when we run someone completely new.
Though, as I said before, rust belt voters will vote out of patriotism for Trump so we're really gonna need Obama 2008 level minority turnout in 2020.
