I don't see a big commercial success with the next record, she needs a good and relaxing era first, like a couple of top 5 songs that the GP loves and decent image/album sales. So something that ATRL will call "flop", but that will help her in the long run.

People seem to favour more organic-sounding/urban songs atm (I did say she should have done urban pop all along tho!) but there'll be a point when there are too many All Of Me's, and the charts will be too middle of the road and people will demand to have fantasy/theatricality back.

Good points. I agree.
Collaborations are going to be key for her right now, I reckon. It'll allow her to (hopefully) get a few hits riding on current sounds without having to reinvent her own, potentially appeal/open her back up to new demographics and also get new material out quickly without much personal risk. Plus, it'll build her profile back up in preparation of her new album.
Ideally, I'd have her feature on a big summer dance anthem to get the clubs and straights on board, then an urban LTWYL/Airplanes type of song in Autumn. C2C will also help with her critic cred.
