After we've had time to let it all soak in, ARTPOP really is her worst album.
But that's not saying much. It's still a great album. It's just . . . HER worst. The fact that her worst is still better than most singer's best says a lot.
Another confession: I REALLY wish Gaga had never released "Alejandro" as a single.
I really don't even mean the video, either. The hook in "Alejandro" is iconic, but other than that, I've only ever found it lackluster. I never felt like it was single material, even if I only started stanning in ARTPOP era. I would have much preferred for Gaga to smash with "Monster" as a single instead.

I disagree. The Fame is saved by its singles and the underrated trinity (Starstruck, Paper Gangta, and Summerboy), but half of the album is full of fillers. "Brown Eyes" alone is just

Alejandro is like her fourth best song, after Diamond Romance, So Godly I Could Die, and Paparazzlay. But I agree that Monster should have been a single - but it should've replaced Telephone.
The lyrics in "Brown Eyes" aren't even that bad, but the production...
This.. exactly this. Plus it goes on for hours. But Gaga has always had a problem with songs overstaying their welcome in length. I think if DWUW was just a little bit shorter and had a tighter chorus, it would be top three. And Venus would be so much better with parts of it snipped.
The Swinefest "Sexxx Dreams" performance gives me so much life. I love the way she screams "HELP ME HEEEEEEEEREEEEEE!" On the studio version, it sounds like she has bronchitis when she sings that line.
Also, I kind of wish "Hair" has been the second single for BTW instead of "Judas" (though I will admit that the "Judas" music video is perfection). The production on "Hair" is seriously flawless, and its such an amazing and inspirational song.
