As soon as they saw he picked Pence they began climbing on board because they had a lot of doubts about Trump, but by picking Pence he showed he was serious about governing as a conservative. Left Democrats had the same doubts, and instead of saying "I hear you", she made a status quo, tone deaf selection. She could have got a lot of people on board her campaign, but instead she wasted it. There was not a person in America who thought "Oh Tim Kaine is a reason to get to the polls". It was the final straw for a lot of people who didn't know if she was running as a centrist or a progressive.

I don't buy that one bit. Up until the end, republicans were still playing the "I just can't bring myself to support Trump" card to make it look like they had any morals and they still came out for him. If this electoral college situation hasn't taught you that you're full of **** in this issue, I don't know what will. 10 GOP electors pledged to vote against Trump and they all but 2 secretly voted for him either way. Same thing happened with the normal people. It had nothing to do with Pence. Meanwhile you have 5 democratic electors breaking away from the Hillary vote. That's the problem with the left. The right know how to win elections hence they've been doing it this whole decade.
Keep peddling that "she didn't listen to the left" as if that fraction of the left ever gave her a chance and didn't fight her harder than they fought Trump.
