What I just dont understand was the need for the Nov 21st release. Cheers was still going. She could have done a late December release or even January. Then they could have released We Found Love later and had time for an Urban single.

are these meltdowns because it's not #1 yet? i'm so confused. I could see the buzz single worry if the song was still chilling down in the 100s. but it's not.

Thank you! A lot of the Navy only seem to care about where the song charts on the BBH100 or where it is on iTunes. If the song is not #1 they will have a full scale meltdown and act like it's the end of the world.
This thread is a hot damn mess people. Chill the **** out We Found Love is my 'effing jam, I would be happy for it to hit the top spot but tbh I don't care if it does or not. I just want it to have longevity. Rih already has 10 #1 songs on the Hot 100 (As we all already know as some of y'all keep reminding everybody else about it ).

If this song flops I'm okay with that. I'll be okay with knowing one of her best first singles is a flop, but at least she released what she wanted. Its quality. I'd rather have a first single be good and flop rather than a first single be **** and go to #1... 
WFL is what I was expecting for the next when I was stanning Rated R... So.  Im happy with it.

You bitches are a mess. Really!? The ****'s at #3, not 30, 130, or 300 and you're having meltdowns?! Why the **** are y'all so worried. I know you want nothing but the best for your fave, but there's a point where you have to stop, evaluate the situation, and think rationally. I guess that's why I never could label myself a stan or because I hate the word in itself. Sometimes it's not about chart success or sales. It's about the enjoyment of the music. I know the song is amazing and it'd be even more fantastic if it were to go #1 and be Rihanna's 11th #1, but the bitch, outside of Twitter, hasn't promoted the **** her damn self. I understand that she didn't perform it last night or anything, but the least she could've did was mention it amongst a crowd of thousands of people, but she didn't. Why should you guys be busting your ass and your pockets trying to get this single to #1 of Rihanna's ass isn't doing **** (yet) her damn self? Let me know. As fans we're supposed to HELP our favorite artist(s) accomplish their dreams and goals, not do all the **** for their asses. Artists and fanbases are teams and right now I consider Rihanna Navy to be the team slaying most of the competition. It's ok to take a loss every once and a while. Just be thankful the bitch is at the top of the charts. She's doing some amazing **** right now. I can't understand for the life of my why her dumbass and her sorry ass team and label does a lot of the things they do, but I gave up trying to understand their logic a longgggg time ago. Some people are really annoying. Rihanna doesn't have to have a #1 on hot 100 always. The only promo for "We Found Love" was the Itunes banner which brought it to #2. It has been proven over and over again that a Itunes banner doesn't bring a song to #1 on Itunes without other promotions. Look at Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce which lead single peaked at #4 with the banner and no other promotion.
Yes Avril went to #2, more because she debuted the song on a huge platform. The fact that Rihanna's name got it to #2 is amazing !! This song is far from flopping.
I for one rather have a song one weeks in the top 10, then a day at the #1 spot and falling out of the top 10 the day after.

Hey, was there any official conformation that this is the actual lead single? Them navy stans sayin its a promo single but actually, Rih never tweeted about making the video, no add date announced yet, iTunes banner says "exclusive" vs "song", absolutely no promo? Is this the single or not?

This song is definitely not flopping...I don't even understand where that would come from. It is a new song with no real promotion other than some premieres, iTunes and word of mouth...that should show how strong Rihanna's fanbase is...it hasn't had a chance to reach casual listeners yet ( who are the people buying Adele, M5, etc.) So for those ready to scathe Rihanna for "only" having a number three song on iTunes maybe you're not a true fan anyway ... Perhaps you should just be a fan of the actual charts themselves and forget the music because that's what you seem to care about more...
