Surprisingly, there's a lot of Hive that feel the same way, but they don't want to admit it to outsiders.
And even amongst themselves, the ones who "chartwatch" get ridiculed for wanting her to be successful on the charts and on radio because "she's way above that".
No popstar is ever above hit singles. Ever. 60 years later and Madonna is still feening for a hit.
Tour grosses aren't gonna magically sustain themselves. Albums won't always sell on a name. And company's aren't gonna be stopped from endorsing the new "it" girl. There are so many things wrong with the idea that "hits don't matter".
Hits don't matter to the extent that ATRL drives them, but they matter.
