The only thing that wakes up the ones that continue to vote against their own interests on the fences now are historic crises, much like Congress now and the debt ceiling. It's exhausting and disheartening. See: 2008 meltdown.
I'm predicting and am ready for Roe overturned, gays being able to be turned away from business, race riots in dozen of cities, a BP spill or post-Katrina chaos on steroids, another '87 crash, Russia invading several countries or even nuclear war. I do think we're getting all of the above in Trump's first term with no response but a draft or Twitter temper tantrum.
An incompetent, worthless excuse for a human being's the leader of the free world and I'm past the stages of grief. I'm ready but much of my family and friends aren't. I'm just...tired.
