I didn't realize the school grades varied so much

I've lived in SC, NC, TX, and GA and it's always been K-5th grade in elementary, 6th-8th in middle and 9th-12th in high.

Oh I guess that makes sense. It just depends on where you are.

My elementary school and high school were about 5 minutes away from each other, and so it was pretty much all the kids that I already knew plus other kids that I vaguely knew from elementary schools that were also nearby.

That is the standard middle school system.

Standard Jr. High system is k-6, 7-9, 10-12.

Ah. I was gonna say how many students are there. In my high school alone there were over 2,000 kids so if you tried to combine that with the high school and elementary school that would be a clustered mess fff

Yeah, my graduating class in high school was about 1000.

I kind of like the smaller school size though because you end up having the same students in your classes sometimes 4 times before they graduate since you teach different age levels.

So you develop better relationships with them. Cuts down on a lot of problems.

Our schools biggest graduating class was 26.

The school has no sports, so lots of kids leave in high school to go to public school.
