Glad you like it.
Though you need to give a song more than just one listen to judge it.

When Katy Perry's first album came out, I wasn't exactly a fan. Her first singles were insensitive, and also pretty stupid. However, as time has gone on, I'd heard Katy's new singles on the radio, and was honestly a pretty big fan. "California Gurls" is very arguably the best pop song of 2010, while "Teenage Dream", and "Firework" are both very catchy and likeable too. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I decided to give Teenage Dream (the album) a try.
Teenage Dream is an okay album all things considered. As I said, it has very good singles, and aside from those the album actually has a number of other good songs on it. In fact, about half of the album is great pop. Unfortunately, about half of Teenage Dream is pure filler. Katy's pure, soapy, ballads making up the last tracks of the album are just terrible, and really illustrate that she should just avoid these kind of songs. Besides these, there are just a couple filler tracks in the middle of the album (such as the dreadful "Peacock").
Still, for those who love the singles, Teenage Dream really isn't a bad album. It's pretty fun, lighthearted, and just plain silly, and despite all its missteps it is still pretty entertaining. Teenage Dream shows massive improvement for Katy over her first album, hopefully she will continue to grow, and her next album can be really good!
PS: Is the cover art pretty sexy, or what?

I mean not exactly like this of course.
But it reminds me of that style. And I love that. It's so mysterious but powerful female power too.

Here are my opinion.
I Kissed A Girl isn't insensitive It is just a silly fun song to jam to and meant to get the public attention.
I disagree with you about the ballad things though. Her voice is just tailored for those kinds of softer songs. What she needs is better ballads aka Thinking of You / Lost and the lovely Hackensack
About the latter songs in Teenage Dream, actually lots of people praise and enjoy them. They are just not single material. IMO, in my opinions, only 4 of them are fillers. The rest can easily make a top 10 single
PS: the cover is sexy and cute at the same time

I must agree with the ballad thing. My least fav songs from Teenage Dream were NLTM & Pearl. She needs better & more guiter-tingled ballads like the amazing Thinking of You. Hackensack is just INSANELY good. But I dont agree with calling any songs fillers . Obviously Katy wanted those to be on the album. , she could have gone with Part of Me, Dressin Up or the incredible Milk Milk Lemonade. I absolutely adore everything from TD except form those 2 songs.

I agree with you u on NLTM, but I don't agree with you on Pearl.....it's a grower, at first I didn't like it much....but then I realized whatva master-piece it really is...I can already imagine a dark video for it, with lots of out of this world special effects...with Katy being an enchanting Mermaid in the video...

I like that Mermaid concept
The instrumental of Pearl is totally amazingness but those oh-oh vocals in the chorus really turn me off. Pearl could have been a very very good dance track, if it would have been more uptempo. it could have been special by by having big beats and balladic lyrics.
