Midtempo and slower songs have always been more chart friendly
than uptempos like GOT7 and RV, so its not really "surprising" the
songs do well with the korean public

Why are you bringing charts into something that's personal preference tho?

Its not a shock but one thing I have noticed is literally every time ATRL comes for an act and calls it a snoozefest, it tends to do extremely well and whenever they like it, it doesn't. A Midtempo example would be when everyone like omfg I love Sugar by 15& its gonna slay and then it didn't do well in Korea at all.

The only way to quantify music objectively to determine what trends are through charts, sales. and awards. I could even use it that way to prove that those artists songs are better through use of awards wins etc.

Nor did I say you can't have an opinion. You are always welcome to come for my opinion. I'm just showing some people don't agree with your opinion at all.
