aha Vin, just the guy.
I watched X-Men Days of Future Past earlier and, it may be quite presumptious of me, but i truly think it's the best Marvel film they have created. The plot managed to fit seamlessly with First Class and the former three films. It didn't have huge plot holes where you thought "how the **** did that come about".
I know its loosely based on the comics but i love how it focused upon Mystique as her origin and story has always greatly appealed to me. I think her battle is what everyone faces on a daily basis i.e. conformity and what it feels like to be accepted in a world that is you, but so very different. And she has the ability to morph into whoever yet it may feel like she's not being true to her own identity, which peoples of every race face through facial applications, education, employment, relationships (especially interracial) etc.
The X-Men has always been a fabulous series due to its origins in the period of the Civil Rights movements, Feminist movements etc. Such a fascinating piece of literature that i think all adolescents should read. The best thing in dealing with an identity crises (as teenagers face).
