My God. The vocals' quality in Marry The Night is the worst I've ever heard. When she sings "MARRY, THE NIGHT" it sounds like it was recorded with her phone.

Her vocals on that album are definitely the worse they've ever been processed. And it's not just on BTW too because you can hear it in dance in the dark as well. But DITD works well on TFM.

I will forever think Venus is a disjointed, unfinished bop, but it's undeniably a bop, and the lyrics and hooks could have made it a huge hit with the GP.

Looking back at it, a bop like Venus after a bop like Applause could have worked. DWUW is a bop, but a different kind of bop, and I don't think the GP was fully embracive of it.

Like, idek how Interscope just flat out denied "Venus" and in turn caused most of the messiness of the era (although Gaga is also to blame)

"Venus" has the same "weird electro art alien" feel as "Applause", and could've done well on radio. Plus, if it was failing a bit, it could've benefited from the initial album release promo (SNL, AMAs, a few talk shows, etc.). And if the song ended up being a bit of a flop, all they had to do was wait a bit until the end of January and then launch "Do What U Want". It's not that complex of a plan, idk why they didn't go through with it.

I'm watching this dutch soap "Fashion Planet" which is basically about a bunch off people working towards the release of their new fashion magazine 'Fashion Planet' and Gaga is getting so much exposure. I'm only 3 episodes in and they mentioned her name, showed her VOGUE usa cover (ha 1st one) twice, one time full front and quite a long time, they also used Venus a lot in episode 3
