The NERVE of some y'all in here when if it wasn't for Avril, Taylor wouldn't even have a career - or would be singing at Country Fairs in the South.
She literally copied her career step-by-step. Started off in country, moved to a more pop-rock sound, worked with producers like Max Martin after Avril did, had similar sounding songs such as "Smile" & "22", "The Best Damn Thing" & "Shake it Off" and several more. Had the cutesy blued-eyed, blonde-girl look. Tapped into the Asian (primarily Japanese) market with this aesthetic as they eat that stuff up. If it wasn't for Avril opening the doors in Asia - with that type of image and sound - and slaying for over a decade there is now question that Taylor would be no where near as successful there as she is now.
Also she had Lyme Disease at the time of those M&G photos, she also has suffered from anxiety throughout her life. Us Avril fans are very aware than she can be socially awkward sometimes but we don't care, we still love her. Plus - as she demonstrated with the pictures she tweeted - there have been plenty of times when she has been fun and interactive with fans. Y'all can take several seats.
