John Legend's comment:
"I'm happy for them, they are an amazing couple and have a huge impact on pop culture," Legend said. "I didn't know the exact date the wedding would happen, but I knew it definitely was on the agenda."

''Several months ago, Jay-Z and Beyonce decided the only place they could guarantee even a basic level of privacy would be at his [apartment] building in New York. While they considered some wonderful, romantic sites in a number of places, they realized that even the most remote resort or castle or beach would have to involve a lot of outside people . . . making it likely their privacy would be breached.''
When Beyonce was in Chicago to promote her True Star Gold perfume for Tommy Hilfiger at Marshall Field's in November of 2005, we got to chatting about fragrances and flowers. At that time she told me, ''When it comes to fragrance, I love gardenias, but when it comes to beauty -- nothing beats orchids. I'm just crazy about them.''
So it comes as no surprise that Beyonce flew in a reported $500,000 worth of the pricey blooms -- more than 100,000 individual Dendrobium white orchids, all the way from a supplier in a remote village in Thailand, a grower favored by the King of Thailand himself.
* Along with creating a tented ''orchid palace'' for his intended on the roof of his Manhattan condo building, Jay-Z also wrote a special rap-style poem for Beyonce, which he read at the ceremony. The bride also penned a special poetic tribute for her groom -- reportedly in tears as he heard her profess her love.
* Word has it, the couple are negotiating an exclusive deal for the wedding photos -- which likely will end up in OK!, People or Us Weekly. The good news: The expected big-bucks payoff will be donated to both Darfur relief and an inner-city New York kids sports program long supported by Jay-Z.
