Girls Aloud
Girls Aloud were a critically acclaimed British-Irish girl group comprising Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding. The band was formed on the reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals, in which a girl band was pitted against a boy band in the race for the UK Christmas number one single in 2002. Girls Aloud came out on top, with their debut single Sound of the Underground hitting number one and earning them a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first girl band in British history to debut at number one. As well as the fastest a band has gone from being formed to getting a number one and the first band to get a Christmas number one with their debut single.

Sade
Sade (pronounced “shah-day”) is a Grammy-winning British smooth jazz band named after their lead singer Sade Adu. The band’s music features elements of jazz, funk, soul and rnb.
Sade was formed in 1982, when members of a Latino-soul band Pride — Sade Adu, (real name Helen Folasade Adu - born 16 January 1959 in Ibadan, Nigeria) Stuart Matthewman and Paul Spencer Denman — together with Paul Cook formed a splinter group and began to write their own material. Sade made their debut in December 1982 at Ronnie Scott’s Club in London, England, in support of Pride. Later, in 1983, Andrew Hale joined Sade. In 1984 Paul Cook left the band.

The Killers
The Killers are an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2001 and consist of Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion). The band’s four studio albums to date have sold in excess of 18 million copies worldwide combined. The band got its name from the fictional band “The Killers” in the video for New Order’s “Crystal”. The band was on hiatus, but returned to the studio to record their 4th studio album in early 2011. Songfacts reports that “Runaways”, the first single from “Battle Born”, was released on July 10, 2012.
