Yeah, but Madonna also knows how to experiment with other sounds that aren't currently popular at that particular time. Example: Ray of Light --- arguably her best album and solidified her as more than just a pop star, but a pop icon/legend. I think Beyonce has it in her to do something like that. She doesn't have to give up the commercial sound completely or at all. I'm just hoping for more risks from her. I feel the same about her peers. Alicia Keys is incredibly talented, but her music has become so stagnant over the years. It's like she makes the same love song over and over. Usher is always a hit or miss musically. Christina tries different sounds but it comes off so forced and her pretentious attitude doesn't help. IDK. I'm just waiting on that classic. I don't think her albums have reached that point.
I know what you mean about AK. No One = Doesn't Mean Anything
I'm also waiting on Bey to create a classic album. She's yet to do it, but she definitely has the potential and has it somewhere hidden in that creole body of hers.
It'd be cool if Beyonce does something like Sade Adu and get a band and record a hot album or a joint album with Linkin Park or Coldplay. I know I'm getting carried away, lol. But that would be crazy. Beyonce has the most potential out of her peers. I would have never thought "Single Ladies" would be the phenomenon it was.
Yes. She's really good at bringing out Beyonce's Sasha Fierce cockiness.
I didn't realize Solange was a good songwriter. She's pretty good. She seems like she isn't interested in commercial music for some reason. I liked her second album.
