Of course if she could have ranked up 5 #1s single for the same album it would have done more. Something is sure if those girls who open "modestly" didn't chunk out hits after hits, their albums wouldn't even go platinum.
The point is those sales are underwhelming for a singer who just had a record breaking lead single with such radio presence and two promo singles shooting up to the top 3 of Itunes.

Honestly, those are not that bad. And at least she slays at the singles departament (even though I don't approve her excessive payola deals) so there's nothing to complain about. Some artists have nothing nowadays

It has, so that's 6 platinum albums in the US now.
2 of which outsold TD WW with 1/3 the promo.
