Oh please, if this was Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran or P!nk singing over a guitar, y'all would be calling it "boring," "uneventful," and all that jazz. Not everyone has to think this song is good, decent or "innovative" (singing over such production is innovative/different now ).

It's a possibility. His only true competition in Pop Album is Sam Smith (I'm predicting him to win, btw), and if they want to throw a curveball in Album of the Year, they could go with Sheeran (I think if there's a curveball in AOTY, it would be Beck). But Ed is performing with Jeff Lynne, so I'm not sure if he's doing TOL. But he could still receive a boost just on a Grammy win.

But then again that's why Rihanna is Rihanna, I hate accoustic songs in general but her voice elevates it for me, how many times has Rihana had generic ass productions that would be basic af and flop if sang by anyone else? Many. if it was Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran or P!nk I'd hate it because their voices are not my cup of tea, I don't love the song nor I think it's anything innovative, if anything putting a legend stringing a few basic chords is a bit tacky, it is different for her tho.

As for the claims that she is using Kanye for success and acclaim, I don't see it, he has been tarnishing his career for a while, he's probably the 3rd most hated celebrity by the GP after Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian, Yeezus undeperformed, his tour didn't do that well.. A shame that they both are coming back with underwhelming work tho because All Of The Lights and Run This Town are A+

The thing with Best Pop Album is that you can never really predict it. Even that tragic Kelly Clarkson album won.
