when did this happen? Bieber has been ahead this whole time. It must be the promo single boost. Not here for Bieber loosing this battle.

All he's been doing was releasing promo singles. The album would've fallen out of the top 10 long before if it weren't for those. 1D did just release one though but their pre order is about a month older.

They'll be fine #1 debut or not. If Ghost Stories' mini era can sell 3.7M in pure sales in 2014, I think AHFOD can do 5M after the world tour.

It's still much better if they debut at number one in the US, cuz theyre close in equaling the Rolling Stones record of having the most consecutive number one albums in the US

Also, if they debut at number one in the UK, they will equal The Beatles and Oasis for most consecutive number one albums there

The US, I don't think so but it will be a nice surprise. I actually see Adele doing 800K third week. But Coldplay will have a shot if she sells under 400K, in case her sales are "frontloaded".

They will be number 2 ww including UK and US. They stand Bo chance against Adele 3rd week sadly I wish they waited another 2 weeks... Such a shame for them.

I dont know why their record label decided to release the AHFOD so close to Adele's. Given the phenomenal success of 21, of course 25 will sell bucketloads for weeks... its so confusing... poor decision making by the record label..

The singles chart is tough for acts that have been around nearly 20 years or so. Eminems last singles havent done well on itunes either past 2 years.

Like I said, they become more about album sales and touring. Coldplay dont need to prove themselves up against the likes of Bieber in the singles game. They are a global megaband.
