Woo, the flashbacks. I remember being so mad at this. Those girls were victim-blaming DOWN. 2009 was SUCH a struggle man. From the incident, to Rated R's lackluster sales, to regular petty stan ****. Everyone was taking cheap shots at her for getting beat up. The urban community was siding with Chris, which isn't really surprising to me now considering that his fanbase was made up of teenage girls who hated Rihanna for being with him. And Rated R not being big despite her comeback hype was worse. Everyone was acting like Rated R was a bad album because it wasn't selling shitloads of copies. Really, thank God for Rude Boy for partially saving that era.

Or when people said "she must did something to make him hit her". I don't think people would say such a thing if it did happen to them or to someone that they love so much.
