ririlurker, your point about how she promoted it with 7 million twitter fans and 45 million facebook fans is a good attempt, but what you fail to realize, is that a LARGE PORTION of those people
1. illegally download music
2. Don't check their twitter that often, let alone care about rihanna unless they are avid fans/stans
3. Don't check her facebook, and as far as they're concerned, just see random posts from the rihanna page, and scan past it on their news feed.
And there was barely any amount of time for the song to hype. So sure, it hasn't reached #1, but that's also because MLJ is a huge hit right now, with around 130AI which was where OG and S&M peaked! so of course that song's going to be #1
If anything, be proud at the fact that it has passed Somone Like You and stayed there considering that song is getting 3+ mil updates everyday, and managed to reached #1 on the hot 100 before it was even released as a single, and Rih is above it!
and It's top 5 in how many countries? not to mention top 15 in every country it's released in.......So yes you can state your opinion, but think before hand so it doesn't sound like it wasn't thought out.
