That was before I came across the 10% third party tally in IA
Ohio has such strict voting rules, hmmm.
honestly if we want to be real with it, what really lost Hillary the election was voter suppression. 38 Governor's races will be held in the next 2 years and winning some of these will be critical not only for redistricting in 2020 but to reverse voter suppression laws that have been enacted recently

Cooper will make it easier to vote, the electoral board majority is always the Gov's party.
But damn, we got screwed...if we lose three more Governors theoretically we could have GOP ram constitutional amendments right through the system
The turnout rate I'm predicting for midterms is the stuff of nightmares
Exit polls also showed the voters overwhelmingly trusting her more with the economy while overwhelmingly trusting him with terrorism and immigration so this really wasn't the change election the media are hyping it up to be (Again, Obama's ratings are sky high now and the economy is in great shape)
It was simply a "Make America Great Again" for many of those WWC.
Change elections aren't always about the economy though. Polls also showed a majority of the country didn't like the direction we were going in. This election wasn't even a repudiation of Obama as much as it was on Washington in general. While Obama was/is popular, Clinton was not. She and Trump had similar negatives.
Plus, people didn't want "business as usual" and a lot of people liked Trump's message about Washington needing to be fixed, a rigged system, etc. A lot of those people ending up voting for Hillary in the end because of the other **** he's said and done. But that wasn't enough for a lot of the people who ended up voting for Trump.
Clinton's main message was mostly was "Trump is unfit, vote for me". Whether or not that's true is debatable but that's what it felt like at times. Most of the ads she aired were negative ads about Trump. Then you have people going around and insulting them, calling them deplorable, racist, sexist, etc. Maybe a lot of it was true but insulting people isn't going to convince to join your side. And that goes both ways.

Sorry but I'm calling bs on that. If it truly was about all of DC then why did they elect republican senators and house republicans? Isn't the congress's approval rating record low? Then why did they elect/reelect more of the same people when we gave them great guys like Kander and Murphy. Stop caving in for the change election nonsense the media is pushing to clear themselves of all blame.
And I hate the "I'm not Trump, vote for me" "It's my turn" excuses too when we saw her decimate him in every single debate and make him look like ****. Hell we had ex-presidents call her the most qualified ever and we had the Bushes voting for her. If that's to be reduced to "I'm not Trump so I must be good" then you're no better than the Lock Her Up/Bern The Witch crowd, sorry. As for the ads, I agree about that aspect. Always had a problem with her anti-Trump ads. She was targeting white women and that failed miserably.
On November 30, American Delta Party/Reform Party presidential candidate Rocky De La Fuente requested a recount in five counties in Nevada and paid the $14,000 fee required for the effort.
Still no update on NV recount, but Rocky sis, sue Florida too if you think you deserved more from diverse states
"The best recent DNC chair, Howard Dean, who rebuilt a 50-state party in the mid-2000s, wanted the job back, but Sanders vetoed that because he felt Dean had been disrespectful to him. Dean has now dropped out."
The wiki description of why Jill is changing route in PA
The next day, December 4, an attorney representing the Green Party declared the Party's intent to file a lawsuit in a federal court to force Pennsylvania to carry out a recount on December 5, asserting that such a step was necessary because the state court system was ill-equipped to handle the matter.
It's amusing seeing some folks dismiss "identity politics" or criticisms of racism in Mister Trump campaign in favor of talking about the "White Working Class". White and x class are identities, pure and simple.
**** was always about them and mostly focusing on them since Bernie entered the race. From economic anxiety, to empathy, to "you should've not called them racist", etc.
No pieces on the Black/PoC working class and how we'd hoped the road to recovery won't be hindered by a Trump presidency nor how we're worse off then the WWC. Jesus ****s.

No one is dismissing his racism. It's been brought up at every opportunity. But we also can't dismiss how badly democrats are doing with the majority voting bloc in the country, which is the reason they virtually have no power anywhere in the country right now. The presidential election was the least of our worries. We don't even have democrats in power at the state and local levels to keep Trump and other republicans in check (except in a few blue states).
There were a million reason why Hillary lost but the democratic problem goes beyond Hillary and the 2016 election.

Oh no I get that and we should get everyone on the same page.
But I'm referring specifically to people who want to dismiss the other issues altogether. That's not going to win elections/seats either.
Besides that, I'm not sure how much we can pull from a WWC that always voted for Republicans since the passage of the Civil Rights Act.

they didn't though. the white working class used to be the democrats' bread and butter. WWC being a part of the Republican constituency is a recent development
