Right. I mean, engaged in further war you mean? He'll only be accelerating what was inevitable.

- China continues to piss off Asia into war with artificial island expansion/North Korea risks whole Eastern Hemisphere

We're not at war right now. We're intervening in many parts of the world but that's not the same as being a war president.

The nature of "war" has completely changed though. We're in technically 5 wars right now that haven't officially "ended", even symbolically. Nobody bought it when George W infamously stood in front of the "Mission Accomplished" banner and Trump isn't going to change that cynicism.

Who'd he go to war with? China? Nuclear destruction. Russia? Too many deals. What could he 'try' at this point?

Troops on the ground? I firmly believe he'd get a proper backlash because it'd be most of his base going.

I'd love to see him try a draft. The anger would be monumental.

No, we are not. Fighting terrorism isn't the same as a war. Bush went into Iraq uninvited while we've been arming actual Libyans and Syrians while giving them support from our personel. In Iraq, we've been actually assisting the Iraqi army while kicking ISIS's ass. That's not the same as what Bush did in Iraq. The middle east has been extremely iffy about major military involvement from America thus we've been arming them. Trump doesn't believe in that so it's very likely he'll get us into an actual war.

And I'd like to not think about the prospects of war with China. That's too damn scary.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has passed a resolution guaranteeing the city will vehemently and unwaveringly contest many of President-elect Donald Trump's policies — and it isn't holding back in the scathing document. The governing body published the 11-part resolution in the San Francisco Bay Times, and people are referring to it as one big "middle finger" to Trump.

The resolution touches on many of the causes Trump and Pence have opposed or acted in opposition to in the course of their careers and during the campaign, including women's and LGBTQ rights, climate change, and the Black Lives Matter movement. The first point also ensures that San Francisco will continue to be a sanctuary city for undocumented immigrants, as it has been since 1989.

The resolution's final point, however, is particularly powerful.
