Oop. The score is lower than I expected, I'd rather have it more at a B- or so. Definitely better than Control. I loved the whole mood and sound of this album, especially songs like the title track and Black Cat. Black Cat really slayed me and it's the only one I actually really wanted to put on repeat for a little bit (and then did.) There's a few songs that are just okay, but still really beat out Control's over-repetitiveness by a mile. Also, unlike that album, for this one I actually wanted less slower tracks. I was bopping for a good portion of this, and I felt like it didn't really need a ton. Lonely was the best of the bunch, but it could've been better. The two at the end were pretty disappointing and brought down the quality significantly, as they were too long and really didn't provide much to love. Alright was pretty much the same way, but for the upbeat side of RN1814. I had higher expectations for this one as I've actually heard amazing things about it, though never heard any of the material, and sadly they weren't really met. Take out the three songs I didn't enjoy and you'll have a pretty solid release, though.
