Playing Devil's Advocate, I wonder where she'd be right now if she never filed the lawsuit against Luke. Say Warrior, C'Mon and Crazy Kids still flopped, but after that she got straight back in the studio (during which Timber would have been recorded, and smashed) and began a new pop era in early 2014 (think before Shake It Off/1989 domination).
The first half of 2014 was basically Happy, All Of Me, Fancy and Rude. They were all hit songs but not driven by the artists at all; Iggy was the only one to get another legit hit and we all know where she is now. Basically, it was kind of devoid of a "main really popular artist". No Beyonce, no Rihanna, no Katy (well, Dark Horse was still slaying few months). A perfect time to release, especially coming off a huge hit in Timber. Then her later era singles would have coincided with Taylor/Meghan/Ari and made things a lot more interesting since I remember that time in pop was pretty same-y.
I really think she could have had a proper comeback if she'd done things differently.
