He's having hits in places he never even charted in before.

I do like the song though. The whole retro-ish vibe seems to be really in these days, there's no denying it anymore, the dance music era really is coming to an end.............

I wonder how many dance songs we'll be seeing in the Top 40 this time next year.

As far as dance music goes (in the US at least), I think there will still be one-time hits from isolated artists like Swedish House Mafia, Icona Pop, and potentially Zedd. But I don't think pop girls (such as Kesha and Gaga) will be able to see massive dance hits until the cycle comes back around to it. Sure, you'll have some that crop up rarely, like "Toxic" and "Hung Up" did during the urban wave, where they dominate worldwide, but do little to nothing on the Hot 100.

It's mainly because the song is in a new commerical. Songs over the past year have seen great response on iTunes from commericals like We Are Young, Too Close, Some Nights, Can't Hold Us, Radioactive, etc...

Robin Thicke is good. He's been relegated to Urban AC radio for too long. It's nice to have a crossover single here and there, and something like "Blurred Lines" wouldn't alienate his fans.
