Yea these artists did...but one thing is awkard, why do you use the "no pop support" as an excuse to explain their lack of success & albums sales compared to their previous albums... if pop audiences are really useless.....George Strait is an exception, the same case of Madonna or Streisand on .....pop
AC and Hot AC are very important in album sales success. Most generic pop music won't sell albums but crossover acts can sell albums to the pop audience look at Gotye's album sales despite being one hit wonder, look at Fun's album sales, etc. Now compare that to artists who smash on pop all the time but don't cross over to Hot ac and AC like Florida, LMFAO, Pitbull.
LoL pop fans aren't seeing Streisand or buying her albums. I'm willing to bet I'm the only one in this thread who's seen Streisand in concert and I can tell you right now her longevity has nothing to do with pop.
Madonna's longevity is epic, so I can't front on that part. But she hasn't had a US hit single in forever.
I know we all try to deny it and she does paint outside the lines with her fanbase, but the VAST majority of her base is young, teenage girls. So I guess it makes sense. Not saying her college aged+ fanbase isn't still with her, they're just getting overtaken by the kiddies.

I agree with some of your points but it s an endless discussion anyway so (for the record, i ve lready seen Streisand with my mother ) ...as Disco said, move on
There s no pop Taylor, there s no country Taylor, there s no dubstep Taylor, there s just Taylor, the one & the only
Haha I'll move on it's all good. There's definitely pop and country Taylor though, she draws very distinct lines between the two. Espcially on this album. I wouldn't have an issue and I don't think anyone else would either if she did have blurrier lines. That's why Fearless is such a flawless album. It's pop-country perction. Not pop and country. Pop-country.
And yes to someone else having seen Barbra in concert. It's epic. In fact I've seen all the greats we talked about - Babs, George Strait and Madonna. Madonna puts on a show, Babs has an amazing voice and George has amazing stories.

but its fun to argue yeah we can move on now though. So who do you think should open for Tay this year? I would love to see Colbie Caillet open for her but I doubt that will happen
