A lot of people in here are saying the Season 2 finale was underwhelming meanwhile, Season 1 was stunt queen central with no real explainations.

Season 2 finally made the show viable for a longer run because they still found ways to make shocking moments and reveals without killing half the main cast off and still providing background for most of the characters without it being super dry. If they went with the Season 1 method, they probably would have no one alive for Season 3.

Agreed, honestly. They brought up Caleb's run once and it did look like Phillip was trying to tell Annalise something, but there were no other indications of Caleb being behind everything.

Anyway, this season was great for character development and backstories. I'm glad they wrapped up pretty much everything in the first two seasons so they can start anew in S3.

The one thing that redeems the deus ex machina is that it's still ambiguous whether Phillip or Caleb did it. Both are plausible.

Anyway, looking forward to next season!

Just watched. Wow. Slightly underwhelming for a season finale but the last half of it was pretty good. I feel like the next season should be its last.

It isn't. Worse concept than people thinking Anna Mae was Wes' mother last season, lol. Oliver was shook when Phillip popped up. But as we've learned with the finale, Caleb killed all 3 Hapstalls', Phillip wasn't/isn't threatening or violent at all. So Oliver being calm when they all got together back then makes sense, not an ulterior motive.

To who said it was ambiguous: It's really not. Caleb's dead, Phillip's serving tea on him and Cat revealed the incest. There's nothing left to explore with them for S3. So the USB remains just a convenient plot point to end that.

Anywho, I found this season to be pretty excellent. Finale was everything. Really enjoyed the life of Anna Mae versus a bunch of twists/turns the entire episode.

I was not surprised at all, but probably because of the fact that I found the second half of the season kind of boring.

The best thing about the episode was Connor's blowjob on Oliver.

I hope S3 is better.

I thought it was a good finale. It wrapped up stuff nicely. I'm glad that it didn't leave it on such a cliffhanger though. I don't really care who killed Walter, even though I'm sure it was Frank. But I'm sure Wes will be upset and want to figure it all out. They should've shot him too. Lol

Walter was behind the car accident that killed Annalise's baby. When she said "he's gotta go", she meant Walter. Of course she had Frank do it because that's what he does, and after she found out he killed Lila and not Sam, he now owed her a favor.

The season finale was okay but shocking. I didn't like that she just figured it al out like that at once. She's brilliant and a very intelligent. But there is no way she would have understood all that just by knowing that Frank killed that girl. That means she guessed that Sam made him do it (understandable), she guessed that Sam held something over his head for him to agree to that (understandable again), she also deducted that the thing Sam held over his head was that Frank, in a weak moment, put a listening device in her bedroom, that the listening device was ordered by her client at that time and that that client after being aware of where she was going, decided to kill her (not logical).

I don't think she figured out that Frank put the listening device in her room. Think about it, if she thought Sam killed Lila, then in her mind, Frank wasn't a killer as he hadn't killed anyone. Framed Catherine? Yes. Now that she knows Frank killed Lila, she's using that to make him kill Walter. Her saying "where is Frank?" And then "he needs to go?" was in reference to Frank going and killing Walter. I don't think she knew anything about Frank being tied to the car accident.

Unless Bonnie told her in a voicemail or something.

Or perhaps Frank left and did it on his own accord to rid himself of the guilt.
