He capitalized off of white Americans (and no, not just working class - abandon this wishful thinking) growing frustrations. He said the things they wanted to hear that everyone else was too afraid or PC to say. And you can't reduce that to MI, WI, and PA. So this pititful attempt to hang the popular vote over Trump's head is quite dismal. It's your friend trying to brag to you about winning prom queen when you got into Harvard. He played the game to win, not for everyone to like him.
The fact that he even won the nomination against every other experienced politician and beat the media speaks volumes. Like, I get it, you all are still in disbelief that he managed to pull it off, but you have to give credit where it's due. You don't
accidentally become the most powerful person in the world.
