Which is a good thing. It means they're finally speaking up about something that's been happening for decades and the president has actually defended the movement on many occasions (unlike Trump and co)
His lack of action re the justice system will forever be embarrassing (Likewise with Guantanamo and Don Siegelman) but a republican president always does it way worse. And since you brought up BLM, may I remind you that every attempt to demonize the black community and to mobilize the government into taking action since Nixon has been fueled by the republican machine to flip states red? to be fair, Louisiana is in for a huge demographic shift over the next 20 years and if Dems are able to fight voter suppression laws there and drive up minority turnout it could be a blue state in some elections

also, the relative effect of the Comey letter on Hillary's standing is very much debatable and I personally feel like it didn't really change people's opinion of her that much

My Republican friend tells me the local chapter of the GOP is practically comatose It's only doing fine in places like Orange County (where Hillary still flipped ) and those remote national park counties.

California GOP screwed themselves over with Prop 187 in the 1990s. They're very unlikely to get those Latino votes back. Good.

Sigh, I know. The only thing Trump did right is energize the white working class. Literally him energizing that group in MI, WI and PA is the only reason he won. People need to stop acting like he had some strategic plan from day one that ultimately lead him to victory.

It's SO frustrating because from the numbers coming out, she actually DID energize people... it's just she couldn't really win over the demographic that Trump won easily.
