I don't think they are "testing" it or anything as you can't get audience reactions from the song playing in stores.
Let's not forget when everyone freaked out because Fire Starter kept getting played in a lot of stores in 2013/2014, those are just the kind of songs stores like to put in their playlists i guess.

People will complain, but "Don't Forget" is the only album that has had a re-release in the US.

I wouldn't mind "Confident" having one if there is at least 3 new songs, including the new single.

Well I'm assuming these were playing radio stations, it would be a very weird coincidence to have Stars on 3 different playlists on the very same day.

Actually. When I worked at the movie theatre we got sent music we had to play consistently for a certain amount of time. It's all part of a contract. Demi's team for whatever reason wants stars played. I'm willing to bet the same thing is done at stores.

I was listening to the biggest radio station in my area and they played "Stars". It don't end abruptly like the album version though but instead with the beat break. The radio host said "That was 'Stars' by Demi Lovato from her new album Confident. Of course she has had two big hits from it already and that will probably be a third one."

So its kinda confirmed its the third single (?)

Guys this radio station has been right two times before and wrong once regarding single releases so who really knows.

The were right when they played "Dark Horse" a few weeks after "Unconditionally" came out and said it would be the next single from Prism.

Also another situation regarding Demi they played "Neon Lights" a few days after Demi's release and the radio host said something like "word on the street has it that will be a single in the future."

However one time they were wrong is before Taylor announced "Out of the Woods" as the next single they played "New Romantics" and said it would be the next single. This was a similar situation to "Stars" though as some you fellow Swifies may recall them playing "New Romantics" on a few radio stations and public places.
