What influence? Who is doing today what Britney did at her "humongous peak"? Nobody even lipsyncs anymore because she made it more shameful than MJ or Janet did by choosing to lip even while standing still or waving one arm. She's a joke. She'll be filed away under forgotten celebrities when she dies.
I just noticed something. Literally almost every music legend has expressed love for GaGa except the ones who GaGa initially listed as her influences when she debuted.. Odd.
