I think we're seeing Romney's true colors. He wanted Trump's endorsement when he ran, then he trashed him when everyone thought Trump would lose the general badly. Now he has come crawling back when he senses a position of power. Trump can sense what a weak man Romney is and is playing games with him. He probably partly wants to give Romney the job so he can bully and push him around for four years.
Most public school history text books are written by straight white men who will probably have no problem normalizing him.
I've been saying all year that coverage of this election will be ridiculous in history text books, and I was always operating under the presumption that she would win.
Just imagine it. A paragraph about Hillary—the lifelong public servant, most qualified presidential candidate in history, debate champion with actual policies to improve the country and the lives of all its citizens, winner of the popular vote by literally millions—followed by a paragraph about Donald—a mentally unstable con man reality television star endorsed by the KKK who spent his entire campaign insulting, degrading, and threatening nearly every group of people in the country / world. Then the sentence "He became President."
It's about as close as a textbook author could come to saying "People are stupid" without actually writing "People are stupid."
The upside (or downside, depending how you look at it) is that most teachers dedicate so much time to the colonial era thru the 20th century that they never even reach the 80s, let alone the 2010s. It will be the college campuses (history, sociology, political science, women's studies) where this election becomes a centerpiece of the curriculum.
It's anti-intellectualism combined with anti-political establishment, with more than a dash of anti-human decency thrown in for good measure.
I wouldn't be surprised if Women's Studies becomes a banned subject in Trumpmerica, tbh. The way things are currently spiraling out of control.

I think this is exactly what happened. All of these people weren't trashing Romney without him being okay with it.
Well, in order to make room for that many prisoners, they would either have to construct an entirely new facility or execute these people without trial. Given the direction of the current administration so far, I feel like the latter option would be most likely.
Wouldn't be surprised if the flag-burners were deemed "terrorists" and given the same treatment as well.

Nah. People are still more bothered by Hillary's emails than Trump openly saying he grabs women by their *****. His recent actions and such won't deter that sentiment.

I think the initial inquiry was warranted given the circumstances of its discovery (Benghazi), but yeah AFTER the investigations had conducted by her OPPONENTS and no wrongdoing was found... you would think.

That whole thing was blown to be bigger than what is really was. It was a manufactured scandal that people latched on to make them feel better about their otherwise unjustified hate towards HRC.

When the republicans send their voters to the polls, they don't send their best, some are sexists, some are homophobes, some are racists and some I assume are just assholes.
Dems need to let go of this recount BS and start unilaterally attacking Trump for his erratic behavior, his countless conflict of interests and his shady foreign business dealings (make sure the GOP has to answer for this too) . If they fail to push that narrative relentlessly then they deserve to lose again in 2018 and 2020!
