Ohio can only go blue when the black community is energized
Not necessarily. It's the biggest factor in whether or not they stand a chance since dems heavily rely on Cleveland turnout but a lot of rural counties will show up for democrats when they like the nominee and/or are looking for change. They don't win the counties but they can get enough typically republican voters to switch over to dem.

I looked at 270towin and Texas is EVERYTHING for the GOP. If they lose their Texan points they could have a 2016 repeat and still be two votes short (268 with Democrats getting 270)

Big Oil won't let Texas go Blue.
If there's even a sign of it actually being a swing state, you'll see so much money flying around and people being mobilized.
Tbh America should start merging some of these states and cut down on their senators.
Like.. do you really need a North AND a South Dakota? Fuse Wymoing, Idaho and Montana into one super-state called hicksville and there, Republican senators will drop by like 6 and the elections will slay again.

Not happening ever. We will be blessed if we even get to see D.C. and Puerto Rico as states in our lifetimes.
Congress and state legislatures will have to approve the merge (which will only happen if it's in the best interest of the economy and if the people approve). Politically, it's dead because that's 2 less Senators, and probably less House members for a certain party.
Literally if Hillary and her team spent just two more weeks focusing solely on the Rust Belt, WI, MI and PA... we would have had this election in the bag. I'm sorry but I'll never get over how simple it could've been to solidify a win if they just didn't doubt Trump and pushed a little further.

Everything happens for a reason. That's what I tell myself.
I have a feeling that it wouldn't have mattered. We probably still would've lost or won, but without a Senate and House majority. Literally a waste of a presidency. Especially if they blocked Hillary's Supreme Court pick.
We all thought she had NC and Florida. She didn't get them.
If she focused on PA, MI, and WI more, she MIGHT have won, but we can't know for sure. It's all what ifs. We need to focus on the future. Like those recounts.

I'm so sick of this never-ending election autopsy
it's just reinforcing the reality that this nasty stank cheeto is our president
I'm 40, I remember the entire arc of the public life of Donald Trump. To think so many people threw away so much, from efforts to combat climate change to just their own personal credibility... all for the benefit of the longest running national punchline, the clown buffoon of tabloids and TV... Donald ****ing Trump. That **** stain is the hill so many have chosen to die on? What the ****? You were born, you went through puberty, made it through school, maybe built a family and some kind of career. All to have it come to this point in time where you contribute to making the idiot Donald Trump the leader of the free world? Seriously, did none of you notice that guy running as Donald Trump was actually the same stupid Donald Trump with the ridiculous hair, the constant infantile lying way of talking, and the strange and erratic behavior? What? You KNEW that's who it was when you voted? Really?!?!
