You're not taking into consideration her pop songs are generally more popular with casual audiences.
There is an industry metric where an artist's repertoire and total reach (sales, airplay, streams, etc.) is measured against each other. I don't remember what it's called, but basically Nicki's would look something like this:

The above is just illustrative. But yeah - the pop tracks might only make up a small % of Nicki's discography, but it has the biggest reach in total audience.
