In the newest issue of Country Weekly (Reba & Blake on the cover), they have their panel (Lisa Konicki, Jessica Nicholson, Bob Paxman and Ken Tucker) picking the winners.

For Single Record:
Wow! Talk about variety! On one hand you've got the goofy and infectious "Red Solo Cup" and on the other hand there are gorgeous tunes such as "Don't You Wanna Stay" and "You and Tequila." Our panel couldn't decide between Toby's tune and Jason and with Kelly, but we'll give the nod to "Dont You Wanna Stay." "This got the most play of the five in this category, which will weigh heavily with voters," Bob says. "Jason should also get more recognition for seeing a duet in a song that was originally written for one."

For Vocal Event:
Our voters are unanimous in the belief that Jason and Kelly will win this category going away, thanks to the powerful interplay and crossover appeal of "Don't You Wanna Stay," but Ken thinks the real story here is the fact that the category is stacked and packed. "This category is frequently loaded with album cuts that you've barely heard of, but this year four out of the five songs are realistic contenders," he says. "Hopefully this is a trend that will continue."

They also have Cody Alan who hosts CMT Radio Live give his picks. He thinks Toby will win Single Record with Red Solo Cup. He also thinks that Vocal Event will come down to Jason and Kelly vs. Brad and Carrie with Jason and Kelly winning because of the crossover appeal that DYWS had.

It's unlikely but I really hope she's actually performing DS on Idol as opposed to WDKY. I think it would be perfect timing. Her performance won't air for almost 2 weeks and by that time WDKY should have just about peaked.

Stronger has been in top 10 for 9 weeks.
if DS is released in april, stronger's high airply and sales will militate against DS's success, and if DS is released in May or June, it's too late cause summer will be coming!
so i hope IFY will be released in May or June and DS will be released in August or September
but if DS should be released as 3rd single, it should be released at least about the middle of May, or about the end of May

so the perfect time for an AMERICAN IDOL PERFORMANCE is on FINALE which is on last week of May!

Erm but Kelly already confirmed darkside is third single. so regardless of season or month... its coming. they may as well try & catch the stronger success train while that song is fresh in the mind. Waiting til June is way too long.

some fans may not know ds is confirmed as third single. The ify fans who do know have dealt with ds as third single since they know ify will be fourth single

We don't even know when the Idol performance is going to air. I'm fairly certain she's going to sing Dark Side and they'll save it for later on in the season. Just because she (may) be taping a performance this week doesn't mean it has to air next week or the week after. Maybe it will be for the finale. We'll have to wait and find out. I'm sure we'll know what song she sang right after she sings it though. Thank god for Twitter!!
