Both sold more singles there though which make up for their album sales.
They don't need to make up for album sales because they sold 3 times as much. Piece by Piece was released in Feb, while Britney Jeans sales were cut in half due to it being released in early December and having half it's sales in another year.
Interesting how both Godney and FadGa had their last platinum albums and #1 singles in 2011.
The difference is that Godney was 13 years into her career and Gaga was 2.
