I am mostly talking about the big 4 year research institutions.

My father actually sits on the tenure board at a large university.... so he always tells me about the process.

I have 45K posts and I can't think of anything I'd specifically not want people to know about me...

That being said, I don't know anyone else IRL that uses ATRL

I have never been able to track him down after that year

It was a D1 university but on the smaller size - in Texas if that changes anything

Really depends on what you want to do.

If you want to go to grad school, then transferring might be worth it. Or if you are in a super competitive field like engineering/business.

For 95% of students all they do is pay more for tuition and gain nothing.
