Ugh, here are my little comments.

A Bomb - It's okay. We have talked about having a Mod Q&A before for people to get to know us. It is just that, a Q&A though. We'd get a couple days for people to ask us any questions for them to get to know us. Your idea is more along the lines of rotating moderators for ATRL HQ/help request reasoning's.

Subomie - Cute in theory, but can just imagine a disaster. I know you want to keep it moderated somewhat and make it more relaxed, but for ATRL members that simple will never happen. Hope they can prove me wrong with that statement.

Sam - I see where you are coming from, but the reason why we are usually gung ho on not adding a reputation system is because it will become a popularity contestant. If this would ever be done, the way you mentioned, we would probably implement a way we can see who all is liking/loving the status and warn them too. PSA: Use your words, don't be a plus one.

Superpower - Perfection! I want this! Where's Athens?

Era - This is really cute and I really love the idea. The graphics just show how seamless it can blend in to everything.

Jake - I like this, but I could honestly see a system being done where ATRL-o-Matic can have pre-programmed events that will post them every like one, five, ten, twenty, etc years. It could be a way to get ATRL involved in choosing what they would want to see when popped up.

Sorry, I need to rant for a second. How is it that with help requests, ATRL HQ and open walls, we’re still not available enough for some members?

nn go in Supa I will say as a fellow HQ resident, yeah some members really like to be coddled. HQ should be enough honestly but I can see how a Q&A would be more personal. It has its benefits and hopefully in the near future we could get more discussions going on between members and mods outside of HQ.

I remember Ace made a thread asking why do people troll threads or something of the like. Things like that where mods create open discussions with members are good for the community.

K but Bomb had the best idea for an actual improvement to this site. Don't hide behind the "we have HQ" excuse. Not when some mods be feeling their oats to much where every thing posted in HQ about a mod is considered "disrespecting them". HQ is filled with brow nosers and nonsense, it's not a proper place for feedback between mods and members.

But whatever. Can't wait until it's implemented and then a certain mod claims it was their genius idea

If you want to engage a mod directly, you can PM them or write on their walls. If you want to complain about a warning point or the site, you can send a help request. And if you want a more casual connection, we have HQ. Why is that not enough?

Sorry if I'm coming across as extremely defensive, it's only because I care too much about this tournament and I can see how the results are going.

What you said about it being more like a Facebook like would be correct. Which is why I don't understand the "popularity contest" fear. Nobody goes around liking status' on Facebook to make others seem more popular. Perhaps my main mistake was suggesting a counter on the user's profile. But I really don't see how including a little "like button" of sorts would be problematic. It would be even easier to control if it was a warnable post and any user who liked that post would be listed on that post and so you wouldn't have to search through an entire thread to issue out warnings. I just see it as a much more compact, controlled way of responding directly to a post without quoting and co-signing. I don't know why this is being overlooked just because there's this pre-conceived notion that some members might go around liking other's posts just for the sake of it.
