Hips Don't Lie is definitely remembered. Whenever Wherever, maybe. Beautiful Liar isn't.

The actual game is more important than halftime, yes, but the NFL likes to book acts who are big ratings draws so that the network doesn't lose viewers to competing programs. That's why MJ was booked and they've been getting superstars ever since.

I'm actually very surprised that Usher has not been asked to headline halftime yet. He has great name recognition, is generally well liked by the GP, has a huge catalogue of hits, and a great reputation as a performer.
