"White Sky” was the fourth single to be released from Contra, it was also the first song to be written for the album, dating back to their pre-debut days. The lyrics of the song describe various areas in Manhattan.
Best bit: The wordless chorus Best lyrics:“thousand little Julias / That come together / In the middle of Manhattan”
Typical of Suite III, "Mushrooms & Roses" is pretty experimental, drawing influences from psychedelic music such as The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever". Janelle's voice is distorted and the track almost reads as a stream of consciousness as she tries to recall the mysterious character "Blueberry Mary"
The song was doing very well early on in the voting period, spending some time in the top 15, but it was just too polarizing to keep hold of its position.
Best bit: The second verse Best lyrics: “She gives the boys all of her kisses and electricity”
