- The idea for Monsters, Inc. started with a lunch in 1994. Six years after that the movie itself went into production.
- For a time, the film went on to take the place of Toy Story 2 as the second highest-grossing animated film of all time, behind only The Lion King.
- This is the last Pixar film to have a blooper reel. This time it includes the company play Sulley & Mike worked on.
I watched this movie in theaters with my Mom when it came out. It's in my Top 5 for Pixar along with Finding Nemo and the Toy Story trilogy.
I forgot to mention that I remember watching Toy Story 2 AND Toy Story 3 in theaters with my Mom as well. And the latter I made damn sure I watched.
