4AM. / Taylor Swift - Ronan
Cupid - I have to admit, I was dubious at first when I saw you chose this song. After reading your explanation, there's no doubt in my mind that this is a great song. There is so much meaning, as far as being single-worthy, i'm not fully convinced.
Prometheus. - Glad you sent this in! Whilst it may not be my FAVORITE Taylor single, it's definitely my top 3.
collin - Risk-taking on the first round is the way to make you stand out. Great choice and great write-up.
BlazingLovatic / Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love
Cupid - Undoubtedly this is one of her most iconic and biggest hits. Whilst I like the song, I don't think it's her best single, it borders on average.
Prometheus. - Kinda expected this to be sent in, tbh. I was hoping for The Flood or Parachute. Those are my personal favorites. But way better than Under The Sun or Promise This!
collin - The backstory on this one is truly excellent, and the track is a bop (why haven't I heard it?!) Well done... and I feel you've also got room for improvement. Keep it up!
Bloomers / Drake - Take Care
Cupid - You had a great balance of technical and personal explanation. I couldn't agree with you more, truly his best single.
Prometheus. - My #2 favorite Drake single. Flawless choice and I loved your entry despite the length.
collin - The personal touch was a great one. The song really is one of Drake's best... next time, though, I'd say to keep it a bit more concise. Nevertheless, yas.
BlooRiverAnimal / Ke$ha - C'Mon
Cupid - I wasn't expecting this, I can kind of appreciate why you chose it and I do love the song. But best single? For me this is kind of a mixture of all her previous singles.
Prometheus. - My favorite Ke$ha single. Love the video, love the song. Very underrated, but great choice!

You did NOT pick this song. Trolly af. Luckily enough, this essay proved to me why you're a good fan, why you chose this instead of others (although... not why this one was a good idea as a single, don't forget I have a soft spot of delusion for it

Citrus / Cher - Dark Lady
Cupid - Slay. This is everything that makes Cher great, it's different, it's camp, it's catchy, it's theatrical.. She's a great storyteller with her music, I think you made a great choice.
Prometheus. - Didn't even know this song existed until today. It's upbeat and fun, and I appreciate for you not going for the most obvious choices, but I really love If I Could Turn Back Time and Believe.
collin - This song is an absolute mess.
Cute, though. There's so much to know about Cher. I love the personal twists, too. However, I don't buy that some other choices wouldn't have been better, y'know? Cher has had some powerful singles.
Cristhian / Sade - By Your Side
Cupid - This is great, honestly I'm not the most knowledgeable about her discography but from what I've heard of her, this is a great representation of her sound.
Prometheus. - My #3 favorite Sade single. Soldier of Love and Smooth Operator would have solidified a 10, but still a wonderful choice!
collin - BRB, killing self for not getting into Sade sooner. Next time I'm gonna need you to add the element of "die-hard fanning" and you'll have this down to an art.
e437 / Kelly Clarkson - Dark Side
Cupid - You're a mess for picking this. This song is quite polarizing to a lot of people. As much as I love the song, and lord knows I do, in a competition regarding her best single, I'm not sure it fits. I did love your explanation though and it was nice to see how the song has helped you.
Prometheus. - Lyrically, I like the song. But it's definitely one of my least favorite Kelly singles.
collin - Just wow, this song truly does mean a lot to you. Truthfully, though, it was a bit random and I didn't understand why THIS song above so many others. But you did get the message across.
EmRiNavy / Rihanna - Diamonds
Cupid - Rihanna's best single kind of depends on where you live in the world, as she's a global artist people tend to have different opinions. Unfortunately for you, i'm from Europe, where her best single is Only Girl. This song is a little too Sia and not enough Rihanna for me.
Prometheus. - I would have went with Stay, We Found Love or Hard, but still not a bad choice. I really liked reading your entry, too.
collin - Hm. I'm not convinced that this is her best single from what you told me, although I did like some of the personal spins. A lot of what you said was also a bit too opinionated: would everyone think "Diamonds" is Rihanna's biggest gem of a song? I guess what I'd say is this: be an ELITE fan when you write these. Rise above and be glorious.
EuphorianSea / Christina Aguilera - Dirrty
Cupid - Both Xtina fans had different songs this round which was interesting, you both took different approaches. This is one hell of a bop, I think you captured the fun side of Xtina.
Prometheus. - My favorite Christina single indeed. I love the raunchiness and I love the dirrty-ness.
collin - I don't know if you really convinced me here (especially with other Xtina singles in mind). I like the route you had in mind, with the purpose of the song and what not... but she captured more public attention with a heaping handful of her other, more commercially successful singles. A bop, nonetheless.
Ferst / Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
Cupid - Not only her best single but one of the best pop songs in recent memory. Until Walking On Air gets released. The formatting was excellent but your explanation was way too short for me. Cute tattoo idea though.
Prometheus. - Teenage Dream is my least favorite single from the TD era. TOTGA, TOY or WUIV were what I was hoping for.
collin - Ooh, this was very short and sweet. You got to the point really quickly. However, in future rounds I think something this simplistic would get you in trouble... just keep that in mind!
****YesLovato / Demi Lovato - Here We Go Again
Cupid - I'm glad you chose some old-school Demi, this is very Kelly-esque, for a second I thought I was watching the SUBG video.
I feel like this was Kelly Clarkson Karaoke, I needed more Demi. Also when I said keep it short I mean a little paragraph, you barely said anything, keep that in mind.
Prometheus. - Great choice! Not my all time favorite, but definitely my top 5!
collin - Her label sucks for never sending these songs to radio back in the day. They really could've become huge like they deserved. I think there are very few Demi singles that can hold a candle to this... but next time I want to know why YOU believe this is the best choice.

Cupid - First of, you wrote way too much, just one concise paragraph, just a heads up. This was a surprise for me, I adore the production. It's very retro Euro-Disco. !!
Prometheus. - I don't even know how to properly judge this. But I just watched all of her videos so I could properly judge, and based on those I would have loved if you sent in Kill, Fountain or Vista.

Everything about your write-up reminded me that this is a competition for people like you. Aren't all iamamiwhoami's songs singles, though? Why this one and not any others? However, I love the lyrics you shared because truly none of our faves could ever. Nevertheless, basically flawless.
GoddessofLove / Lady Gaga - Applause
Cupid - I'm mad at you for sending this in tbh. I adore the song, but it's just not her
best.
Prometheus. - My least favorite Gaga single. But I applaud that entry for making it feel like it was my favorite for a minute.
collin - Interesting. I can't say you totally sold me, but you made a few very interesting and unique points. Only Gaga could pull this song off and that does give it an element of charm over some of her other hits... but not all of them!
iHype. / Mariah Carey - Heartbreaker
Cupid - Yes, nailed it. I love a Mariah ballad as much as the next forum homosexual, but I'm glad you went with this.
Prometheus. - I'm so glad you sent this in. It's definitely my favorite Mariah single. Maybe even my favorite Mariah song.
collin - You nailed this. You have me convinced in every sector that this is her best. What really got me is the personal touches, as well, and how it has impacted you. My only 10/10 for round one. I've got my eye on you.
Jax / Azealia Banks - 1991
Cupid - This song kind of perfectly represents Azealia, a little messy but a bop. I'm glad you didn't go for 212, even though that is her best single. This is just as good and it kind of encapsulates her 90's obsession.
Prometheus. - Definitely an Azealia song I'm just impartial to. I feel she has much stronger choices than this, but it'll do.
collin - This was a very unexpected choice but you delivered. I like where you went with it.
Jessie Mulay / The Millionaires - Stay The Night
Cupid - Woo lord. The Myspace-ness of this.
Prometheus. - I hate everything the Millionaires do, but this is the best of a bad situation.
