Katy Perry, Longest #1 Of The Year!
This is old to everyone, but I still don't give a ****! I love this song with all my heart, Katy is the ultimate. The song has now been number one for 6 weeks, that is 42 days ! Well done BITCH! I expect another couple of weeks at the top for this, oh no everyone says. It has strong competition from Eric Prydz, Pink and The Just Stand Up To Cancer! girls. The song's last longest number one single was 2004's "American Idiot" by Green Day. It was number one from the week starting September 25 - November 13, a 7 week run. It is still the longest running number one right now, and has been number one for 207 straight weeks. Will Katy be able to take over the title, and start a run for the longest current number one. This week we have three debuts and 2 re entries. The highest entry out of both, is a re entry by Keri Hilson with "Energy", it re enters the chart at #31. It previously had only peaked at #43, but this week it spectacularly jumps into a re entry. The highest new entry comes from The Saturdays with "Up!", it debuts at #42. Then at #45, is "Hot N Cold" by my leading lady Katy Perry. The final new entry comes from Kings Of Leon with their new single "Sex On Fire" at #48, which is currently at #1 on the UK iTunes. And finally, there is a re entry from Danity Kane with "Damaged", due to the new rules. It Re Enters at #50.
