she better call another pop music emergency, there is no way for anyone to sugarcoat this its a huge failure. the fact that she is back on par with the Mileys, Katys and Rihannas is not good coming off the back of a 1.1million debut

ARTPOP deserves more the album is flawless. Just because it isn't fill with a bunch of generic songs about the same old **** doesn't mean its not an amazing album. I hate the music buying public of today they can **** off.
This is so disappointing...it's a really decent album, and she seems to have worked very hard.
I think people just don't get her this era...unfortunately the music has been overshadowed by her other antics...strange appearances/interviews/performances.

That's exactly what she deserves though since she made an album that clearly didn't have being GP friendly in mind. Maybe ARTPOP would have worked had it been the follow-up to The Fame but as of now it just looks like a failed attempt to back-peddle away from a GP alienating album that also underperformed. Not a good look.
This album run is very similar to Unapologetic. Low first week single sales, supplemented by longevity, collab 2nd single. Average for pop 1st week numbers. Hopefully she can keep trucking along with decent numbers every week. I don't think that the HQ leak a week early was great for sales.
