Synopsis:
The second single to 21 and the era's biggest hit alongside "Rolling In The Deep" and "Set Fire to the Rain" is now eliminated from the rate. In this album closer, Adele is tired of being heartbroken and she says that she "wish(es) nothing but the best" for her past lover and she'll move on to someone similar to him. The song was lauded by critics and even casual music listeners for successfully bringing a piano ballad into the mainstream, something that does not occur very often. Regardless, voters seem to have had enough of Adele and she now has a mere two songs remaining.
Voter Response:
"Someone Like You" was sabotaged early on in the rate, not even making the top twenty. It did rebound after more positive scores were received. However, with seven scores of a five or below, it barely misses out on our top fifteen.
"Turning Tables" was the fifth and final single to 21, although it was released around the same time as "Rumour Has It". Adele emotes about an altercation with her former lover over dramatic piano. The song was met with critical acclaim upon it's release and it did well on the charts of a few European countries. It wasn't really promoted well in America, as the focus was on the "Rumour Has It" single release. Adele now only has three songs remaining.
I'm pretty sure Turning Tables was never released as a single in the US. 21 ended in the US with Rumour Has It
I'm sorry, but this rate is absurd. Whether or not 21 is the worst of these three albums, it's not THAT much worse Back to Black and It's Not Me, It's You. It's just not. The Adele sabotage by voters is ridiculous.
Too bad that some trolls ruined this rate, it was so promising, 3 solid good albums in competition, I feel so sorry for you Stevie, you had good intentions.
