I'll Stand By You was a cover Carrie did for Idols Give Back. This song is Carrie's second highest charting single on the Hot 100 peaking at 6. It's a really nice cover, but it does not deserve to rank ahead of the remaining songs left in this rate.

I do not remember giving this song such a low score but I guess it is what it is. This is an upbeat , patriotic song which Carrie sings about the stereotypical American girl growing up. She dates the football star, etc. and just continues to sing more about this stereotype. It's a great song and definitely has everyone on their feet live. I enjoy it and am quite happy that it at least made the top twenty.
