In a sense, yeah, but Alienware mainly refers to customized computers... so you start with a general build and then get more specific. Technically you can do that with most computer stores online but Alienware tends to be known for more nerdy specifications. Check out their site to compare prices and specs!
I've always been a fan of HP. Always been durable for me and if you get a PC, it's easier to customize at your own pace, since I don't need super stuff right now (I can add RAM or change graphics card if I end up unhappy in a few years). If you're going for a laptop, I'd recommend Apple or a netbook or even certain brands of Lenovo (though some of them have iffy reviews).

If you do just eyeliner and maybe the right shade of lip-whatever, you probably won't look overdone. Granted, you do have to mess around to find the right shade and texture of stuff...
