Mr. Duff's Most Wanted Movies
8 Cars 2
Starring: Owen Wilson, Larry The Cable Guy
Directed by: John Lasseter
I am very disappointed with Cars, but Disney and Pixar already compensated my disppointment with Cars 2. A lot of people don't like this one, just like the critics, but i think it's a lot more enjoyable and more meaningful than the first one. Cars 2 mostly focused on Mater, and he became an accidental spy to retrieve and discover the mastermind for making a certain gasoline look bad. It also showed how you have to be yourself despite your weaknesses. I love Mater to death, he's a role model. Plus this one has more racing scenes than the first one.
7 In Time
Starring: Amanda Seyfried, Justin Timberlake, Cillian Murphy, Olivia Wilde, Alex Pettyfer
Directed by: Andrew Niccol
This is one of the best films this year with an amazing concept. It's about the future where people can only age up to 25 years old, and they will be activated with Time Living, where they can only live for a year, and they'll use their time to pay for their expenses. They also work for their time. Timberlake and Seyfried starred in this film, and I think both of them executed their roles well. It's a big question as to if this situation can really happen in the future, it's very scary because if you're rich, you can live forever, and if you're poor, you're expenses will consume your time and you'll die. Nevertheless, still one of the best concepts this year.
Mr. Duff's Most Wanted Albums
8 Future History
Artist: Jason Derulo
I don't really like the debut album of Jason Derulo, I only listen to In My Head, and some tracks. But with his new album, he delivered a great pop-dance album. His first single Don't Wanna Go Home is very catchy, and most of the tracks make you groove, like X and Breathing. There are also songs that are sentimental, like Be Careful and It Girl. The bonus tracks are amazing. Give It To Me and Overdose **** over two or three album tracks.
TOP TRACKS:
Give It To Me
Be Careful
Overdose
7 Get Your Heart On!
Artist: Simple Plan
When I first heard Simple Plan's new single, Jet Lag, I instantly fell in love with it. I decided to buy this album just because of Jet Lag, and I was glad I bought it. The album is full of pop-rock melodies and some ballads with a Simple Plan vibe. Their rock tracks, Freaking Me Out and You Suck At Love, ***** so hard. The meaning behind the songs are also good. Gone Too Soon and Astronaut showed their ballady side and Pierre Bouvier's vocals really soar in Gone Too Soon, plus you can feel the song with his vocals. The album is so much better than their self-titled one and it deserves so much more recognition. I miss when Simple Plan is on the top 10 of Hot 100.

8 Jet Lag
Artist: Simple Plan featuring Natasha Bedingfield
Album: Get Your Heart On!
Wow, I didn't realize I put Jet Lag at #8, I thought it's in my top 5. Well, it has got this very catchy verses with Natasha Bedingfield and the chorus 'You say goodmorning when it's midnight' is so sutck in my head for months! It's that good! Plus I love how Natasha's voice blends with the sound of Simple Plan. I hope Simple Plan can do some type of collaborations like this in the future. It works!
7 The One That Got Away
Artist: Katy Perry
Album: Teenage Dream
Katy Perry's latest single from Teenage Dream is at #7 in my list. I am so addicted to this song ever since the album came out and I never expected it to be a single. I thought Capitol and Katy will prefer Peacock, Circle The Drain and Hummingbird Heartbeat over this infectious and meaningful song. Out of all Katy's singles, this one offers substance as it's in the same vein as Thinking Of You, but with a more pop sound. I was praying for this to hit #1, but I guess its chances are over. The music video is amazing too. I hate it when they compare it to We Found Love when it's tons better.
